visiting florence and the next day we will be traveling to dolomites. We kind of wanted to stop at a halfway mark on our way to venice. or at least get most of the traveling during the night. any suggestions?

yola, Some additional information would be helpful. The Dolomites are not exactly on the way from Florence to Venice, so I'm not quite sure what route you plan to follow? Cheers!

Also realize that the Dolomites constitute just one relatively small range of Italy's overall vast Alpine territory. If you want to see the Alps while in Italy, you don't need to limit your focus to the Dolomites.
