It depends on which sites you are planning on hitting, and as important, what you can really accomplish in three days.

Cost is 90 euro, which it really includes a Roma Pass, which you can get for 34 euro, so are the added sites worth 56 euro?

You definitely want to see the vatican Museum, the Omnia gets you skip the line priviledges, but you can get the same by buying online for 20 euro. The other sites may be interesting, but mostly minor (St Peters you do want to see, but it is free) leaving the Rome Cristiana hop-on hop-off bus as the other major cost element, which for a 3 day card is 33 euro. Honestly, you really would not use it for 3 days, 1 day passes are 20 euro, maybe interesting for a day, make your own assessment by looking at reviews on tripadvisor. I must say that I have been on these type of buses in Rome, London, and Paris....I found Rome to be the least interesting and useful since many sights are best seen on foot (as an example you will not see or go very close to Piazza Navona, the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Spanish Steps, St Peters only a distant view, etc. because these are all in primarily pedestrian areas. Basically, if you take out the tour bus pass, the deal looks less appealing.

With some planning, you could likely do as much for a lower cost.

The omnia card is not worth the high cost they charge. You'd be much better off getting a romapass and booking entry tickets to the Vatican museums on your own and spreading your site seeing over several days than trying to cram everything into 3 short days. If your girls are still in school they qualify for a discount at the Vatican museums.

You can book entry tickets for the Vatican museums online at their official site which will allow you to bypass the lines. With the romapass you bypass the lines into sites such as the colosseum. You can buy a three day transport pass for 16.50 euros but I think you'll find individual tickets will work out better for you. Rome is very compact and it's very quick and easy to walk from site to site.

Thanks, for some reason I was reading that these cards also included tours at both places... Now that I have reread details , I see it doesn't. So on to trying to figure things out. Much appreciated , thanks again. Sue
