Omni and Roma pass

Is there more than one version of the Omni/Roma ticket? I've found tickets online for various prices ranging from $101 to $134. Is it possible that some passes are for hop-on, hop-off buses while others might be for the public buses? Also, I noticed one site advertised the free admission only to the top 5 attractions while Steve's book mentions using it at the National Museum of Rome.

Joyce, you should get onto the websites for both the Roma Pass and Omnia Card to figure out the differences.

There is both a 48-hour and 72-hour version of the Roma Pass:

Website for the Omnia Card/kit; there is a 24-hour and 72-hour version:

Frankly, the Omnia is a ridiculously overpriced pass that I've never seen anyone on this forum recommend. Also, hoho buses are not a good way to get around Rome so any pass which includes them is not worth the $$$ to have that service, IMHO.

There is NO pass that I know of which includes "free" admission to 5 "top" attractions that have entry fees to begin with, and no pass really includes "free" admission to anything at all once you factor in the price of the pass. Whether to purchase one or not depends on the amount of time you have in Rome, what you want to see, and how much you intend to take public transit. The economic benefit of a pass largely depends on doing the math against individual tickets/transport passes.

Editing to explain those "top 5" attractions a little further...
With the Roma Pass, the Colosseum, Forum and Palatine count as single attraction, even through they're 3 different things. With a 72-hour pass, you also get one more "free" attraction; people often, say, choose Galleria Borghese. If purchasing the 72-hour Omnia kit, the Vatican Museums are also included. So I guess if one wants to get technical about it, that's 5 "top" attractions but it's some fancy math. A general-entry ticket purchased for Colosseum also includes entry to the Forum/Palatine so that trio is really never considered 3 separate attractions as far as ticketing fees go.
