We'd really like to visit the Antico Cimitero Ebraico on The Lido in Venice. From what we've read, it sounds like you must book through the Jewish Museum in Venice. Has anyone done this? Is it worth a trip to the Lido? We'll only be in Venice a few days, although we've been there before. Would this likely be a private tour? This would be Sunday or Monday in late May. We're wondering if it's very hard to arrange. Margaret in Toronto
Hi. I stayed on the Lido, 2010. It was an easy ride from Venice proper to the lido. Found this information, hope it helps. Also read April - October, a guided tour on Sundays at 2:30 p.m. from Fodors site. Guided tours: bookings only Hours: closed Saturday and Jewish feast days, the 25th December, 1st January, 1st May. Hello Susanna - thanks very much for this. We will be there on a Sunday, and will try to make a reservation for the tour. Margaret - Toronto
