Sorry to post this off-topic entry, but I was wondering if anyone knows of a site like this for India.
I will be travelling to India in early November, and I would love to be able to find a wealth of knowledge like this on India. Doubtful, I suspect, but I figured I would ask.

If you take some comments with a grain of salt, Trip Advisor's forums can be good.
Sally's right - i would look at Trip Advisor's India forums.
Thorntree is Lonely planets forums site I believe, and Lonely Planet books at great for places like India. Google it.
I aslo second tripadvisor.com forums, they get alot of traffic.
