Well, our big day is finally here. After 9 months of happy planning and some concern (similiar in many ways to having a baby!), we will be in Rome tomorrow afternoon! I want to thank everyone who participates on this helpline, both those who like me who can only ask questions, and especially those who supply us with a wealth of information. You have provided us with months of useful insights, suggestions, advice and even some entertainment. My family and I will be in Italy for 2+ weeks (Rome, Venice, Tuscany and the Amalfi Coast) happily carrying our RS books -- and will be on the lookout for fellow RS travelers. Ciao!

We're 2 days behind you! We're now counting down in hours (41), not days, until we leave for the airport.
Our family of 5 (including 3 kids: 16, 12, 12) will also be in Italy for 2+ weeks, then, another week doing a Rhine River Cruise, with my extended family: 17 of us (mother, 2 brothers and families); my brother says "the family that travels together unravels together"!

We leave in 10 days and will also be spending some of our holiday in Italy. We're teaching our daughters (12+14) the fine are of backpacking !
I too have found this site so amazing and addictive !
