A while back someone posted that their family had decided to try something different and ended up eating at an Indian restaurant that they thought was very good. I think it was in Florence? Maybe Bologna?
Not that we will be looking, but might prove interesting if we want a different evening meal. Open to suggestions in either city.
We have a full month in Florence and we like Indian food, so might be nice for that change we may want after all the pasta, gnocchi, et al., I can stuff into my mouth! My husband will have a Bistecca Fiorentina at some point, but I don’t eat beef, chicken or lamb and limit my pork intake as much as possible ( will be challenging, but have managed in Austria, Germany and Eastern Europe).
There are several in Florence. Indian Palace, Crown of India, Taj Palace, Royal India, just to name a few. They are not far from the station. A few are in the same area around via Guelfa/via Faenza. But I couldn't tell you which is best, because I've never been to one in Florence (I have enough Indian food around home, since I live in an area of the SF Bay that is 70% Indian). Just ask some Indian in the streets of Florence which is best. There are plenty of Indians in Florence. Lots of Chinese food too. Tuscany has a large Chinese community.
you should be able to coerce this info out of Google maps
Thank you both. I’ve done the Mr. Google and indeed chose four that seemed good, but wanted the personal experience of having been there.
Asking a resident Indian might work-hmmm-could be the relatives’ restaurant? Will see if we even get that far as my list of restaurants for Florence is 75+.
