we are planning 15 days in Italy....from Pompeii to Varenna. What is the typical weather from October 3-18th?

Should be about like NC at that same time. We were in that area in October two years ago and it was sunny and dry. Although the week before we arrive there was some serious thunderstorms and heavy rain. On average it should be great. October is our favorite time to travel in Europe.
