Oct Trip to Italy Q#1: How to make a reservation at Borghese Gallery?

I went to Borghese Gallery's website, and then I went to www.ticketeria.it, the site only allowed me to PURCHASE the tickets, and I had to enter my credit card info. Because I am thinking to use the Roma Pass for this gallery, is there any other way to reserve the time slot, besides buying the actual tickets online? Thank you so much.

Ask your hotel to make reservations for you or call the reservation line with English speaking operators at 011 39 06 32810

I have just done this recently and didnt have to provide credit card details. I printed off the Admission Rules page, completed the details required on this page and faxed them to 39 06 32651329. I was not required to provide credit card details but I noted on the fax that we would be using a Roma Pass. I got an email response the same day with a reservation code and stating we can pick up the tickets directly at the office of the museum 30 minutes before our time.

Before our trip to Rome, Assisi and Florence in June, I made reservations for our five top sites because we did not want to waste any time standing in long lines (Borghese, Colosseum, Vatican, Uffici, Academia). This was one of the best pre-trip expenditures that we made. We used www.tickitaly.com. It was easy to navigate this site and paying in advance was one less budget item we had to keep on hand while we traveled. Once the reservations were confirmed, we received by e-mail vouchers that we printed out and took with us. When we arrived at our sight seeing destination, we by-passed all the long lines, went to the reservations window, presented the voucher, received our tickets and walked right in.

I thought a lot about this because I, too, wanted to take advantage of the Roma pass. In the end, it seemed more efficient to us to have these particular details pinned down. We did everything we could while planning our trip to avoid confusion once we arrived in Italy. For us, we considered the fee they charged the cost of convenience.

As you'll see on these posts, not everyone agrees with this method, but it worked for us and that's the main thing - getting lots of different opinions and then deciding what's right for you.

I used ticketeria.it to make a reservation for Borghese and I paid for it when I arrived at the Gallery.
