Well, there's definitely something strange going on with the Evening Underground English tour tickets on the official website. I've been monitoring them for the last three sale dates and the Italian tours are listed at exactly the right time, but the English tours are not. It's quite frustrating.

- The €10 'Audio Guide' option in the official website does not include the entrance ticket (according to the NYT article)
- The official website does not sell the €5 entrance ticket alone; to buy only the €5 entrance ticket you will have to go to this culture ministry website by first registering for a new user account.

We were just there right when it all changed and it was such chaos - we just skipped it all together which is too bad. It's the only major site we didn't see. Also - tried to get tickets for the Coliseum months in advance and stayed up one night to purchase tickets between 2-4am and couldn't get them. Just like the article says - could only get tickets via tour agencies. The Tour Guy for the Coliseum and The Vatican tours through their website. It's basically the best way to do it now. No lines, quick entry, straight the things you want to see.

Has anyone done a semi private tour of the Colosseum by LivTours? I like the fact that the group size should be maximum of 6 people. Thank you.
