November Girls Trip

Hello,

Me and my very close friend are planning a week long trip flying out of US for a stay of 8 days in late November. My friend is interested in visiting Florence and may be Venice. This will be her first time and my second to these cities.

That being said, we are both open to any recommendations for either alternative destinations we should consider for November or specific recommendations for off the beaten path things we could do in these cities - keeping in mind we are 2 women traveling by ourselves, so safety is a priority.

Thank you for your time in advance!

My wife has two good friends with whom she has travelled. A key step is for each of you to plan well in advance what you want to see and do in Venice and Florence. Then compare your notes to see if you have time to do everyting or if you have an extra day or two with no plans (which can be OK).

So, where else if you have time? Are you foodies or wine fanactics? Lots of Tuscan opportunities and I'm sure you get plenty of ideas from additional posts.

If you have 8 nights in Italy I suggest splitting your time evenly between Venice and Florence
Both have enough to see and do to fill your time
And both have good opportunities for easy day trips.
If possible fly IN to Venice and out of Florence

If you really just have 7 nights split according to your list of priorities in each location.

For a short trip like this I wouldn’t add a third location-too much moving around
