Would you drive to and see Noto on a Sunday with a prediction of 70% chance of rain?
Is it supposed to rain all day? or just morning or during the night?
Where will you be coming from? We took a train from Siracusa. There is also a bus and the bus stop is on top of the hill, closer to churches. Unless there is supposed to be torrential down pours all day, I'd probably go. If you'd like to photograph outside, bring an umbrella. I like to where a cap or visor under my raincoat hood to keep the rain off my face and glasses.
A few years ago we took the bus from Siracusa on a week day. Got there at noonish and most everything was closed. Had a nice lunch and gelato and then went back to the bus stop. Watched several buses come and go but ours was 40 minutes late. We felt like a wasted day.
It is a visually stunning city. We went for the Baroque churches, and they were open all day. We took the train, and ours was cancelled and we had to wait an hour. I feel like that's what can happen in Sicily or southern Italy.
If that was the only chance to see it and it was must visit place on your list, then yes.
Before driving there check to see if it’s raining there and how hard. That 70% could occur overnight or only last 10 minutes, and never affect your visit. I’d rather drive there and see the town even with a little rain rather than skip it and find out it didn’t rain at all.
