We have three days open in our itinerary in May. We will be leaving Milano by car and ending up in Geneva. Suggestions for routes? Via Aosta valley…Chamonix? Up around Lake Geneva via Lausanne? Aosta to Annecy? This is not a region with which we are familiar, so we are open to suggestions. We are not big hikers, due to aging back and knees. :) Grazie! Merci!

Sounds like the Montreux-Lausanne-Vevey area of the lake would be perfect for you. Castles-vineyards-that kind of thing (if you had said outdoors and hiking, I would say Aosta, etc.)

Rental car? You're OK with the rather large drop off fee? Or perhaps it isn't a rental? Or are you returning go Italy?
