Cynthia, If you do a Google search of "Cooking classes Cinque Terre", you'll get lots of possibilities. This Firm looked good, but I've never tried them so can't offer personal experience. Some further information on your second question would help. There are LOTS of places to stay on or near Lago di Como and Lago Maggiore (including Stresa). What are you looking for?
