Northern Italy

My husband and I will be in Northern Italy, staying in Milan. part of the time. We are interested in visiting some wineries i, hopefully scheduling day trips from Milan or Turin or ? . Anyone have tour operators they would suggest and /or itineraries? We are happy to join groups. Thanks,

I’d suggest a night or two in Alba the center of the Piedmont wine country - Barolo, Barbaresco, Asti, Langhe. Easy day trips, sampling at the Eneteca Regionale in each town. Wonderful restaurants.

Have a look at the Valtellina region north of Milan. The Trenord train will take you up there from Milan. The region is in a valley below the Alps with the vineyards climbing up the mountainsides. I believe the area is popular on weekends for the Milan crowd.
