I will be traveling from Genoa to the Piedmonte region specifically Alba on Oct 18th. I can not find public transportation from Genoa to Alba. Any suggestions?

It is on Trenitalia. Train to Asti, bus from there to Alba. Total time about 2.5 hours. There is also an all-train route but it takes longer and requires several changes. Make sure you spell it in Italian, Genova.

Many trains from various Genoa stations (primarily Genova Piazza Principe) to Alba, most with one change in Asti.
Regional ordinary fare 11 to 11.90 Euro, so no need for advance purchase. www.trenitalia.com

Thank you!! I found the train schedule to Asti and then the bus to Alba. I was thinking a train went directly to Alba. Thanks again
