We like to stay in Northeast Italy for a week. We would arrive in either Venice or Trieste.
We would like to stay in one area and rent a car and driving through the countryside visiting sights. We are looking for suggestions as to where to stay for the week.
We’ve been to Venice a few times and don’t have a desire to go back.
After our week in Northeast Italy we would continue to Ljubljana, Vienna and Budapest by train for another 2 weeks.
