Nocelle to Positano

We want to drive to Nocelle in March and leave our car and take a bus down to Positano, catch a bus to Amalfi and then a bus to Bomerano to begin the walk of the Path of the Gods.

I can't figure out where the bus from Nocelle to Positano drops you off and then where you can catch a SITA bus to Amalfi. Is the bus drop off in Positano from Nocelle at the same location as the SITA bus stop in Positano that heads to Amalfi or do we have to walk a distance from one bus drop off to the next bus stop?

I wonder what the taxi fare would be to just take a taxi from Nocelle to Bomerano?

There are 2 bus stops in Positano. We stayed at Albergo California so we used the bus stop by the hotel - the stop on the south side of the town that was a few steps from our hotel at the intersection of the coastal highway and Cristofer Columbus which winds through Positano. This is the same bus that takes you to Nocelle and to Amalfi and Sorrento. Look at Rick's Amalfi Coast guidebook - he notes the locations of the bus stops in Positano.

The day we hiked, we rode the bus from Positano up to Nocelle and hiked the Garden of the Gods from Nocelle - there is a parking lot and signs to follow, winding down into Praiano - it took about 4 hours. Then we rode the bus into Amalfi and up to Ravello before taking the ferry back into Positano.

If we used the bus stop above to get TO Nocelle, I assume that this is the same bus stop that you would arrive at if you did this in reverse…..OR just drop your car and start hiking from Nocelle.

I believe it's best to start the walk in Bomerano and walk towards Nocelle - better views walking in this direction.
