I am late booking rooms for our trip in mid April. i have always booked rooms in August for the following year (April)
I have written several hotels - 5 days ago- but have received no response -Venice and Nice.
Do you think it is because of the season or that they have closed the hotel for vacation time?
Feedback would be appreciated.
Did you send emails, or did you try booking on the hotel’s booking site? The latter is preferred by most hotels, as it takes a lot of time to respond to emails and set up the booking that way. This is a busy season in Venice for sure; I don’t know about Nice.
My prior email address (with an old AT&T extension) was always getting caught in European spam folders, unrecognized as a "real" email address. Very responsive hotels were not getting my emails.
I created a gmail address just for travel that every spam filter should recognize.
Do the hotels use WhatsApp?
Can you just book online? Is there a reason you need to email them? I'm sure like with everything else, response times are never as quick as we like. And as suggested, it may be sitting in their spam folder.
Are your emails in English or Italian? When I was having difficulty getting responses for some hotels in France, I started to send my emails in French at the suggestion of a French forum contributor. I would type it in English, then use a translator. The body of the email would have the French translation then IN ENGLISH: with my original message.
I'm not saying that is your issue, just a suggestion.
