Nine days in Milan

We are going to be attending the Olympics next month, which means we will be in Milan for nine days and I’m looking for suggestions on places to explore in the city. Most of our events start at around 8:00pm, so we have the whole day beforehand to sightsee. We’ve been to Milan before, so we have seen all “big stuff l”.
Any suggestions on off the beaten path areas to explore or activities we should look into?
Thanks!

So by big stuff do you mean the Last Supper? Lake Como? Verona?

Yes, we’ve been to Lake Como and lake Garda. We are actually spending time in Verona the week before we go to Milan. Tickets to the last supper are impossible due to the Olympics, a lot of people are having theirs cancelled due to dignitaries attending.
We are going to Genoa when we don’t have an event one day to see family and may go to Turin on the other no event day.

Milan through the back door: Naviglio Grande (canal district). There are good restaurants on either side of the canal but even better ones tucked away a block or two. Such as: La Magolfa (where you'll find locals)... Via Magolfa 15. Short walk from the canal. If you collect records, there are two good record shops... you'll see them. Really nice getaway this area. Metro stop: Porta Genova.

I spent six nights in Milan in 2024 and came nowhere near completing my target list; I had a hard time breaking away from the art musuems. Two things I'm especially sorry I missed:

Milan is noted for its Art Nouveau architecture. There are concentrations both north and south of Viale Tunisia / Viale Regina Giovanna.
