Night Walk in Rome

I would like to take the suggested night walk in Rome. How would we get from Termini area to Campo de'Fiore to start the walk

Hi Jane,
I walk everywhere that I can in Rome, as you never know what you'll encounter on your journey. Usually it's something cool. Otherwise, you can hop bus from the termini to Largo Argentina (I want to say the dreaded 64 takes you there), and head the few blocks to Campo di fiori from there. We do that night walk everytime that we're in Rome, and we never tire of it. Rome is spectacular at night, so you'll love it!

The less-scary #40 also goes from Termini to Largo di Torre Argentina. Fewer stops as I recall, so less congestion. Be sure you buy a ticket before you board, and validate on board.

You can either walk or take a cab. It's about a half hour walk from the termini area so start out early enough not to miss your tour. Donna

Make a reservation at Al Bric, have a cab take you there. Eat dinner and then you are near the beginning of the walk. My wife had no idea what to expect and every corner you turn is another amazing site. She still talks about it. Cut out the section on Rome and carry it with you. A compass helps.

I usually take the bus from Termini to Largo Argentina as well. Your hotel should be able to tell you which buses stop there, or the tobacconist where you buy your bus tickets can tell you.

#40, #64, and #70 buses from Termini will get you to Largo Argentina and close to where you want to walk. The #40 and #64 buses start their routes from in front of the Roma Termini Station; the #70 starts on Via Giovanni Giolitti, about mid-station and stops at the corner of the train station, as it approaches Via Cavour. If you're facing the train station, Via Giovanni Giolitti is the large road on the right side of the station.

Thanks again for all your replies. Ron, the primer on riding the bus and subway is excellent...now I think I understand. Just knowing what to look for and how to read it is amazing!
