I am trying to book a night train from Munich to Rome for a Saturday night. The OBB website indicates the train runs every day, yet when I try to book on a Saturday it indicates "tickets not available." I have tried several Saturdays with no luck even way out into the future. Does anyone know for sure that this train doesn't run on a Saturday evening?

Maybe the Deutsche Bahn will work?
Or perhaps your trip is too far in the future? I think the summer schedule goes into effect around June 10, so trains after that date may not be bookable yet.
Probably because train originates in Munich, tickets are sold on Deutsche Bahn website. For 3 months out on a Saturday, I can buy a ticket, but it does say it doesn't operate daily.
