Night Train from Venice to Munich

Thello night trains only run from Italy and France. Found Euro Railways and they indicate that they have 3-bed compartments. However, when it comes to purchasing tickets only single, double and 6-bed couchettes are the choices -- Not 3-bed compartments. Sent them an e-mail, but no responses. Any suggestions?

Peter,

My suggestion would be to travel during day as not only will the trip be shorter than on a night train, but you'll get to enjoy some great scenery. Most of the trains on that route have at least one change at Verona Porta Nuova, but there is one direct departure from Venezia S. Lucia at 13:35, arriving Munich Hbf at 20:24 (time 6H:49M). If you'd prefer to arrive a bit earlier, a departure at 08:50, arriving 16:26 would be a good one to use (time 7H:36M, one change).

There is no such operator as Euro Railways. They must be an agent. The train you are looking at is operated by the German national railway known as Deutsche Bahn. You can buy the tickets online at the best possible price with print-at home tickets and, if it is available, get a 3 person economy compartment reserved. A random late June date shows a price of 345 euro total for 3. www.bahn.com.
