I'm planning a trip to Sicily and Southern Italy and was wondering if anyone knows if there is a Night train from Syracuse to Naples... I've looked at websights and can't really find anything... I think there is some from Naples to Syracuse... Can anyone help me? :) Thanks! Also... I've looked at night ferries... Catania to Naples and was wondering if this could be a good choice... is it safe?
There's one overnight train...the Bellini. Get reservations at http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html. Check their Amica fares to save, and choose your sleeping accommodation. Register first on the trenitalia website, then go back and book. Bookings available up to 60 days in advance...but the Amica fares may sell out early.
Go to www.bahn.de and enter Siracusa and Napoli Centrale. You'll see the timetables for the direct night train. Click on "Details for all" and then on "Show intermediate stops." For fares as well as timetables, go to www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html.
Thank you so much! These are really good sites and are very helpful!
