Night before 12:30 flight from Palermo - stay in Trapani or Terrasini

Hi,
We will be flying Palermo > UK > US at 12:30 on a Saturday in May. We will have been in Trapani immediately prior. I would love to stay the last night in Trapani and avoid the hotel change. There's a 1.25-hour direct bus to the airport - not much further time-wise than if we transferred from Palermo city center. Alternatively, we would stay in Terrasini with a 15-minute cab ride. I am unfamiliar with the area and would appreciate your recommendations on these two options. Thank you!!

Update - thank you all for your help. I think staying in Trapani would have worked but I will be less stressed waking up in Terrasini with a 15-minute cab ride, so that's what I'm doing. Thanks again.

What time is the bus scheduled and when is the next bus if there is a problem? I have not had that experience in Sicily but in Dolomites where a bus did not show up. We all piled on the next one which was only 20 minutes later so made our train without a problem.

I would stay in Trapani; the bus sounds as if it would work well for you.

We booked a driver upon arrival at Palermo airport to get to Trapani.......so a car service is another option if the bus does not suit your times......

Why change hotels for such a short time/?

How frequently does the bus run? Will the 'plan B' bus ( or other tranport option) get you to PMO in time?

With your flight going to the UK you will need to do the Schengen exit processing, so do allow some extra time to do that.

We has friends who stayed in Terassini last year and loved being able to enjoy a relaxing meal and night before their flight.
You would probably want to be at the Palermo airport by 9:30 for a 12:30 flight. We flew British Airlines from Palermo to London and the checkin line was quite long.
