We have to spend a night at the airport to catch an early flight home. I really prefer nicer hotels but seems like none of them have consistent reviews. The airport Hilton apparently has a bit of a walk and we will have quite a bit of luggage so I need something where we can get a taxi or shuttle, any and all suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Not sure if this is "nicer" enough but we found it quite comfortable and has a shuttle service for a nominal fee
fluff,
Actually the walk from the Rome Airport Hilton is not that bad. There's a short walk from the hotel to an elevator, and after that you're inside an enclosed space. As I recall there are "moving sidewalks" at least part of the way, however no way to predict whether they'll be working or not at the time you visit.
Thank you for the replies so far.
I was hoping for something a little nicer even if it was a B&B, as for the Hilton, I am thinking we couldn't manage the walkmwith all the over packing we do lol,
Would love some more suggestions.
Thanks in advance!
What time is your flight? And how much luggage do you anticipate??? It is easy to stay in Rome the night before and take a taxi to the airport. We have done that several times. The is nothing around the airport. I might consider staying at the Hilton if I had a 6am flight but anything later would stay in Rome.
We had a 6am flight, and had the hotel order us a car service.
It was Euro 60.00.
There is not much traffic early in the morning.
Better have a last night in Rome than sitting in a hotel close to the airport.
