coming to Sienna from Florence jan 20-23. need special place to stay w easy access to town as we're celebrating special birthday any recommendations where to stay, restaurants?
We loved staying at the Antica Residenza Cicogna, which was recommended in the Rick Steves guidebook. We got their Suite, which had fantastic frescoed ceilings. Breakfast was good, too. Theres no elevator, and we had to go up a flight of wide stairs. https://www.anticaresidenzacicogna.it/en/
I stayed at the lovely NH Hotel Siena when I went on a solo trip in August, 2022. My room had a nice view and was very spacious. I would gladly stay there again. It took just a couple of minutes to walk into the main part of town.
