Next - need help with florence and venice???

okay, now i need some help with my itineraries for florence and venice and want some opinions for florence!

Two full days in florence - friday and saturday

this is what i was thinking about doing but don't know if it is feasible:

Day 1 - Uffizi, Accademia, Bargello and Duomo.

Day 2 - can't decide if i should spend the whole day exploring florence and the things i did not see the first day or if i should take a 1/2 day wine tasting and then spend the later part of the day exploring. any opinions? we love wine so it is definitely something worthwhile for us.

am i missing anything great in florence?

2 full days in venice - sunday and monday

Day 1- Accademia, maybe murano? or maybe correr museum. (any opinions)? At night - dueling orchestras at St. Mark's.

Day 2 - St. Mark's Basilica/Square, Doge's Palace and Bridge of Sighs. At night - do a grand canal tour and climb campanille.

am i leaving out anything worthwhile in venice?

thanks!!!

Your day one itin for Florence is packed!
Suggest you choose one museum visit for day 2 instead. get advanced reservations so you are not waiting in line. You can walk around Florence visual highlights in half day.
I hope you are thinking of wine tasting in Florence say on a tour. Tuscany takes time to get to and enjoy espec when wine tasting or sightseeing.

yes - definitely a tour that is only half a day. i don't want to worry about any of the transportation, etc.

Your days in Florence are lop sided. I would do 2 on each day. You will still have plenty of time to explore the city if you see 2 sites each day. I wouldn't bother with going on a wine tasting tour. Spend an evening in a wine bar in Florence and enjoy the city.
As for Venice. If you go to Murano, expect to spend half of a day between boatrides and exploreing the island. Other than that Venice looks good. A little too focused on things in San Marco area of town, but fine none the less.

If this will be your first time in Venice, don't waste part of it by going to Murano. It's not that great and you'll have a better time staying in Venice and just by wandering around. If you need a break from the crowds, consider walking down toward the large public gardens in the SE corner of the island.

That is a lot of museums on day 1.

I would do Uffizi and Accademia do some walking around and watch the sunset from piazzolla michelangelo florence on Day 1.

Day 2 I would visit the Bargello, Duomo and Museum that houses the original duomo doors and do some more exploring. Great food across the river.

I also agree that I wouldn't go to Murano if you only have 2 days in Venice.

The Synagogues and the Jewish ghetto is interesting in venice. Also, San Polo Church is spectacular. I liked it much more than St. Marks. I would also recommend doing the secret itineary tour at the Doge Palace.
