Does anyone know what is open on New Year's Day in Florence? If the answer is not much, any suggestions on how to spend our time on the holiday?

If you don't get any helpful responses here, you might try emailing a hotel or B&B in Florence. Tell them you're thinking of staying there and you're wondering about what's open on NYD. Good luck.
