Hi - I heard about a new visa needed to enter the EU but it appears that it starts in 2025. Is that correct? Originally, I think it was supposed to be 2024 but it appears that it was pushed back to 2025.

Just to be clear, it's not a visa. But the ETIAS won't go into effect until 2025. At least, for now.

You can also sign up at ETIAS and get updates. There is a fee except for seniors.

But it's not a visa! Travelers from countries that currently require a visa to enter most countries in Europe will still need a visa. ETIAS will apply only to citizens of visa-waiver countries like the U.S.
