New train service

Has anyone had experience with the new private train company in Italy, Nuovo Trasporto Viaggiatori (NTV) ? It looks attractive on its web site. Is it doing pretty good business and has it been reliable? Wonder if it's less prone than Trenitalia to periodic strikes.

They are increasing their frequencies as new trains arrive... From people who comment on a big infrastructure forum I follow, critiques have been generally positive. They can't make Wi-Fi work in the Firenze-Bologna loooong tunnel, which is a let-down (but at least they offer Wi-Fi for free on the other sectors, whereas there is none like that in Trenitalia).

I took the cheapest seats available on Italo, the new train, between Florence and Bologna in May. The trip was listed on the main board in the terminal, there were Italo people around to help also. Train left on time, the arrival was on time and everything went fine. The trip is only 37 minutes. There seems to be similar luggage space available to what you get on high speed Trenitalia. Food is not available in the cheapest seats, only a drinks vending machine. There are lots of other services available in the other classes including food. The train seemed to be quieter than the Trenitalia high speed trains because I believe they have a totally different type of engine (under every car). I would take them again.
