New Roman Forum Arch of Titus Exit

I'm trying to plan a Roman Forum/Palatine Hill route and I'm having a hard time determining exactly where the new Roman Forum exit is near the Arch of Titus. Rick's 2015 Rome book says:

..."Head a few steps uphill from the Arch of Titus, and look for the tunnel marked uscita/exit on your left. You'll pop out just below the entrance facing the Colosseum".

The tunnel in the wall Rick mentions is an entryway through a wall along the Clivus Palatinus that I thought runs under Via di San Bonaventura and comes out on a footpath that runs parallel to, but higher than, the Via Sacra. Walking along that footpath allows viewing the excavations along the Via Sacra and eventually leads to the Palatine Hill entrance. The problem is I can't figure out how that footpath makes contact with the Via Sacra below in order to exit. I've viewed the walkway from various angles using Google Maps and Bing Maps. Any help would be appreciated

Look at page 848. There is a map of the Forum. Find the Arch of Titus (#1) and the exit is just below it where it says "Exit Only".

Thanks for replying. Rick's Forum map on page 848 is what caused the question. It shows the exit and the written explanation in the Forum walk through text explains how to enter the tunnel to get to that exit. I was just hoping someone may have actually walked through the tunnel Rick mentions that leads to the exit and could let me know if that tunnel both leads to that Via Sacra exit as well as leading to the footpath that runs parallel to the Via Sacra eventually leading to the Palatine Hill entrance. It's a bit complicated but If someone recently walked it or knows the area really well they know what I mean.
