Rick states that this line connecting San Babila station and Linate Airport should be possibly completed by 2016. Does anyone know if this is done and available. Flying in from the states but because of a layover in Dublin, we aren't going to Malpensa Airport but to Linate.
It is not showing up at the official transport webite. There is a bus that goes to San Babila from Linate.

I see that they now have lines 1 (red), 2 (green), 3 (yellow), and 5 (purple), but 4 (blue) is still not open.
For those curious about where it will go, which does indeed include Linate airport, here's a map of the current and planned lines: http://urbanrail.net/eu/it/mil/milano-map.htm
From Linate, you can take a bus to Milano Centrale or to San Babila metro, or you can just take a taxi (under €30 to the center). Details are here (on the left of the page, click By Bus, By Coach, and By Taxi to see each option): http://www.milanolinate-airport.com/en/directions-and-parking
Thank you Sam & Harold!
Hi Linda,
No, not yet.
The metro Line 4 will be ready for 2022, so for now there are 2 options: a city bus (€1,50) or a taxi (€25-30 to the city center).
The airport is not far from the center, just about 20 minutes, so not so bad.
Thanks MR! So I guess bus it is. Can you tell me where I can pickup bus #73 and how often they run? It will be a Sunday.
Every 10 minutes every day.

It runs very frequently, and as from today, it stops in Piazza Diaz, which is next to the Duomo square, and where you can also take the Yellow or red Metro line.
There are ticket vending machines at the airport, in front of where the bus stops. Remember that when you board, you have to validate the ticket.
Thank you MR & Sam! I appreciate all this information. Sounds easy enough ☺
