New Cooking Museum Opening Soon in Rome

A new museum with the full name "Garum--Biblioteca e Museo della Cucina" will open in Rome later this spring. I'm not sure about the date. The museum's website (https://www.museodellacucina.com/) mentions March 21 but doesn't specify that as the opening date. The bbc.com article that tipped me off to the museum (see below) says the museum will open in May.

The museum will display a large collection of very old Italian and French cookbooks (which it seems will be available online) as well as cooking tools like old ice cream and chocolate molds.

The museum is on the Palatine at Via del Cerchi 87.

Thanks for the tip. Sounds like a place my husband and I would really enjoy visiting.

That looks so cool! Even though we're flying into and out of Rome this summer, I had planned to take the train straight to Florence and not spend time in Rome. This new museum might tempt me to change those plans!

Thanks for sharing. The book collection is astonishing: the most of the books whom made the history of the Italian food! For me a place to visit next time I'll be in Rome.
