Netflix Show - Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat - Italy Locations?

I just watched the first episode of this Netflix show which is set in the Liguria region of Italy. I've been trying to find out which towns in Liguria each of the segments are shot without much luck.

Does anyone know which towns are shown on this episode? I'm especially interested in the segment where the pesto making is shot, but the other segments as well.

Thanks! Isn't Moneglia in Liguria?

Looks like it is between Genoa and Cinque Terre. Short 40 minute train from Cinque Terre. Might be worth a little trip during the tourist rush from 10am to 4pm.

Yep, it's in Liguria but the salami shop mentioned, Macelleria Chini, is in Gaiole, Chianti, and the cheese shop, Consorzio Vacche Rosse, is listed as in Reggio Emilia, Emilia-Romagna.

Moneglia's worth a visit on its own merits, it's been called the 6th Cinque Terre village. It has a great beach, a historic center, and hikes and is popular with Italian families. It's not the Ligurian hill town shown in the aerial at the beginning of the show. When the show first came out I tracked down that hill town (name now forgotten) and it's not really worth a special trip as it only looks dramatic from one angle and there are no tourist attractions. The pasta making in Tuscany was with Benedetta Vitali who co-founded Cibreo in Florence. Her cooking class is in Badia a Coltibuono in Chianti: https://www.benedettavitali.com/

Yes, I saw the hill town as well, and it looked spectacular from the angle they showed. I really enjoyed the show, but I was disappointed that they didn't give names for the locations throughout.

Well, doggone it, I might have to go have a look at Moneglia too!

And you're welcome, crgraham32. 🙂
