I will be traveling in Italy within a few weeks. My question is has anyone out there traveled with a netbook computer in the following areas, Volterra, Pisa, and LaSpezia. I am wondering if wireless internet service will be readly available in these particular areas. Our hotels are located specifically in these towns.

In general, wireless is widely available in Italy, however, do not expect free, unsecured, public access. Italy has anti-terrorism laws that require internet users to register with an IP. Basically this is just showing your passport to get an access code, often at no cost, but maybe different than what you might expect.
