Netbook adaptor/converter

Help! I want to take my Acer Aspire One netbook to Italy (leaving the 23rd). I'm pretty sure I need an adaptor and currency converter to charge battery, but am getting confused reading websites on exactly what to buy. Can one of you expert travellers tell me exactly what to buy? Grazie!

Check the power cord, if it says 110-240V, then you just need the adaptor.

I am in Rome, was just in Paris. I bought a SIMRAN delux step down convertor (SMF-200) from amazon.com. It has powered my netbook, recharged my cameras and phones with no problem. It has a european plug on it. Amazon.com! It is heavy.

Several years ago I bought an electrical adaptor from Radio Shack and it works perfectly. The only drawback is that it is not streamlined. Other than that, it is a great device. It works on cell phones, digital camera battery chargers, etc.

Buon viaggio,

I am in Italy now and typing on my EEE netbook with the same adapter I use for my hair dryer, and the computer is working fine.

Thanks everyone! I'll pick up just an adaptor tomorrow.
