Need to know if you can leave luggage overnight at train station.

Quick overnight trip from Venice to Florence--can I leave luggage at train station? Doing photo seminar for Carnivale and would like to only take small suitcase with overnite stuff and cameras to Florence. Returning to Venice next night. Does anyone know if I can leave stuff at Venice station in morning and pick up NEXT night?

Not sure if there is luggage storage at the train station, but I sometimes leave luggage at my hotel's luggage storage when I am away for one night, and not keeping the room just for that night.

You can check the train website for the amenities offered.

There's a left luggage at Venezia Santa Lucia. Here's a link to hours and fees. Left luggage office here gets swamped so allow plenty of time. Watch out for scam artists and pickpockets in and around the station.

I agree with Zoe - if you're returning to the same hotel in Venice before and after your daytrip to Florence, your Venice hotel will most likely hold your luggage, and that's a lot easier (and cheaper) than using left luggage at a train station.

Even if you are returning to a different hotel, either one will probably hold your luggage for you, probably for free. If you're changing hotels, leave your things where you're staying when you get back, you don't want to mess around picking up and moving at night.
