Need suggestions for accommodations/B&B in Cinque Terre

Hello,

I'll be honeymooning in Italy and looking to stay at a B&B in Cinque Terre.

My only requirements are that it's in one of the 5 little towns and that we have a private bathroom.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks!

stephen,

A lot will depend on your budget. For a honeymoon, one choice that I'd recommend is La Torretta in Manarola. It will be on the "high end" of the price scale, but I'm sure you'd really enjoy your stay there.

My highest recommendation would be Hotel Villa Steno (which just received a prestigious Trip Advisor award), their sister property Hotel Pasquale or Hotel Porto Roca (all of those are in Monterosso, my favourite town in the C.T.). Porto Roca will also probably be on the "high end" of the scale, but it's somewhat secluded and has a gorgeous pool overlooking the ocean, as well as fantastic views from their patio.

One point though - for accommodations in the five C.T. towns, its HIGHLY advisable to get a booking AS SOON as possible!

Congratulations & Buon Viaggio!

Stephen, I think for a honeymoon, locandamaestrale.net in Monterosso would be lovely! Certainly not inexpensive but oh so charming and grogeous. I was able to stay there in 2005 with a group of 8 of us and in 2007 there were 3 of us. The superior room with a sitting area was delightful. Although the sofa bed wasn't the greatest to sleep on, the large double bed upstairs was wonderful. Perfect setting for a honeymoon. The breakfast was fabulous as well as the view from the balcony.

Thanks for the suggestion. Lower side of budget, $150/night or less, is preferred.

Keep them coming! I like options, and I imagine I'll need lots since B&Bs have so few rooms.

Check out

http://www.arbaspaa.com/

We used them for rooms for our 2 visits to CT (we stayed in Corniglia - same place both times but different room). The book pretty much any accom you want - B&B, rooms, Apartments, hotels and they also arrange hiking tours, boat excursions, wine tours - even scenic flights over CT!

I always stay in Vernazza, www.francamaria.com rooms. All are private, with bathrooms. Some have harbor views, and there are very few steps to climb as compared to most places.

Should be in your price range, too! But, book asap as all CT rooms fill up fast.

Congratulations and enjoy your honeymoon :)

I second Hotel Colonnina -- we stayed there as a recommendation from the RS book and thought it was nice (and loved their breakfast). We also liked Monterosso as the base point as it has more shops, restaurants, bars and the beach was really nice for relaxation at the end of the day.
