I'm looking recommendations for a room/apartment/B&B in Manarola. Ideally we'd like something quiet with either a balcony or outside space. View would be a HUGE plus.

On Carla's list the Airbnb property I recommended is the Alla Porta Rossa (it is the top floor suite, I think they have other units they also rent which you can probably find on Airbnb as well)
I booked via Airbnb because it allowed me to pay online, if you book directly on their site they want cash when you check in which is kind of a pain given the high cost you could have to visit multiple ATM's due to ATM limits just to collect that much cash to have at check-in or could even trigger your daily ATM withdrawal limit with your bank not to mention the bad plan of carrying around so much cash.

La Torretta. Soooo worth it. They have renovated since I stayed, but in 2010 I was greeted with a glass of champagne, a tray of treats, and a view from my room that made it practically unnecessary for me to leave.
