Will be traveling in Italy in October with 3 other friends (4 women - 2 celebrating retirement, 2 still working). Have two days (October 14 or 15) on which we could do a one day tour of Cinque Terre from Florence. Don't want to be herded onto a bus with lots of other people - prefer small group tour of no more than 8 - 12 people total. Would like to do some walking but not a strenuous walking/hiking tour. Anyone had experience with ArtViva or Aaventure Bellissime recently? Other tour companies you would recommend? or private guides? Many thanks for your recommendations!
mary ann,
Have I got a suggestion for you. You might try www.bellavitatravels.com as they live in Liguria and are very knowledgeable about the area. At least two of the girls that work there (Christine & Kate) are American ex-pats, so there won't be any issues with language.
Thanks Ken! Will contact them and see what they might be able to arrange.

Check into arbaspaa.com...we used them twice for accoms...but they also do other tours...not sure if they are private or group. They also have a storefront (or did) in Vernazza. They do hiking, wine, scenic flights, boats...
The Christine of Bella Vita Travels? We met her when she was working her partner's restaurant (Cantina di Miky: excellent place to eat) in Monterosso. She's just a delight, and I followed her blog for a couple of years. I'm sure she'd be a great guide!
