Any suggestions as to a hotel (close to the train station) between Bergamo & Padua?
That's kind of an odd request without more information. Can you clue us in as to what's going on? Do you really not care at all where the hotel is as long as it's between Bergamo and Padova and near a train station? Why do you need lodging between the two as opposed to one or the other?
We are coming from Como, & heading to Venice to leave on a Cruise...so need a hotel not far from Venice. We are traveling by train, so that limits the places we can stay.
I agree with Michael, we need to know more. But if you don't really mind where you stay, and the object of your visit is to see somewhere else on your journey between Bergamo and Padua, Verona would be a good choice. It's a beautiful place and the station is quite near the heart of the city. I don't have a specific hotel for you (because we always stay in an apartment there), but if you look at booking.com you'll find some.
Sorry Jeanne, I missed your reply. I think Verona would be too far; but it is beautiful!
Where at Como are you coming from? Bergamo seems like it is kind of out of the way. Most routes go Como San Giovanni to Milan, or Varenna to Milan, then from Milan to Venice (via Verona, Padua, and/or Bologna). Not through Bergamo.
