My wife and I visited Greece on our honeymoon 10 years ago and would like to go to Italy and stop in Santorini for our 10 year anniversary. I have seen many warn about not trying to fit too many stops in. So we are open to limit the stops in Italy in exchange for visiting Santorini on part of our trip. I am having a difficult time figuring how to do this best since I do not know the flights and travel routes yet. We are flying from Tampa, Florida on April 9 - April 18. We would like to spend nights in Santorini, Rome, Siena(or Florence), and Cinque Terre.
Flights are much more affordable flying in and out of Rome or Athens.
Also, trains vs renting a car for the Italy portion?
