Hi all, we booked for 2 nights in riomaggiore but we needed 3 nights. Now we have a 1 night gap between our stay in the cinque and venice. Can anyone please give me any recommendations on where to stay in and around the cinque or perhaps outside venice/on the way?

Andrew, When is your trip taking place? Here are some suggestions to consider: > Contact the place you'll be staying in Riomaggiore to find out if you can add one night to your stay. > Change to another B&B in Riomaggiore for one night. I've had to do that on occasion in various locations, and it's not too much of a burden to simply move the kit over to another room. > Stay in another of the Cinque Terre villages for one night. Manarola is the next village, so that's one possibility. > Stay in another town on the way to Venice. Some possibilities are Florence, Verona, Bologna or Padova. > Contact your Hotel in Venice to find out if you can add one night to your stay. > Contact a different Hotel in Venice and stay there for one night. Be sure to allow for adequate travel time between the Cinque Terre and Venice. That trip will take the better part of a day (about six hours). Good luck and happy travels!

thanks for reply. We have booked Riomaggiore 15-17July 2012 and we have booked venice 19th July 2012. so we have the night of the 18th to fill. We could possibly change our booking for venice to stay 3 nights. I have asked the hotel at Riomaggiore to see if we can get 3 nights but they are full apparently. We have considering trying to find another place in the cinque for the night but not sure if its worth it.

Andrew, if other options suggested don't work, you could spend the night in Verona, Bologna, or Padova - all on the way to Venice.
