Need Help Venice Accommodation December 2017

Hi all,
This is my first trip to Italy...

I'm looking for a Hotel or Apartment for December 2017 for family of 4.
My flight arrives at Marco Polo Airport at 11pm so I will need accommodation that provides mid-night check in.
I've been searching the internet and have found an apartment called Ca' Della Scimmia apartment which can do late check in including a person meeting you at water bus terminal for a small fee. We don't mind paying the extra charges for late check in. Is such a service common and reliable in Venice? Because we arrive near mid-night, my concern is that the person may not turn up at the water bus terminal.

You advise and suggestion will be very much appreciated. If you know any better hotels or apartments I would be keen to check them out.

Thanks :)

I think the hoteliers in Venezia are used to unusual arrivals so it is probably OK. Do make certain you have his.her contact info, both cell phone and email, and that you have service you can use to contact them. Also, check online reviews to see if anyone has posted that they have used this service.

We have stayed at Ca'Angeli, a very nice if modest hotel will 24x7 coverage, but it might be hard to find without a guide lso late at night, especially if you are jet-lagged, so having a guide meet you is very nice.

Thanks Laurel!
I read from the internet that water bus from the airport only operate till 00:15am. If I missed the last water bus, is Taxi from airport to apartment door to door service? I checked the google map, road are very narrow?

I have never taken a water taxi, but I believe it will get you as close to the hotel as possible. Looking at Ca' Della Scimmia on the map, it is a two-minute walk from the Rialto Mercato Vaporetto stop, so close to the Grand Canal where the taxi should let you off. The "roads" are Venezia's calli or alleys. No cars, of course, so not really roads nor streets, just walkways/alleys. Some are wider than others.
