Hi - I'm trying to book a tour of the Colosseum but there are so many options, I'm totally confused!! Rick Steve's pocket Rome book suggests a company called CoopCulture.it so I went to their website and found it very difficult to understand. There is a tour of the Colosseum, arena, underground, third ring, belvedere - some include just a few of these places, some include just one or two items - but I have no idea what third ring or even belvedere means. Also, it's not clear as to whether these are private or group tours so that's another problem. I'd love to book a great tour with a company that has a good reputation. Would be okay with a group as long as it's not more than, say, 12 or so people as then I think it would not be as good. We are going to be traveling end of June 2018 with 5 of us including myself, my husband and 3 teenage kids.
Please help me find the right tour or tour guide that can be reserved now so I can check it off my list. Also, by the way, am looking for a similar tour of the Vatican museums.

Reputed as best independent tour guide in Rome, Max may be a good guide for your family. He speaks fluent English. Talk to him about the size of your group. That time of year, groups at tour companies may be 21 people. Now in low season they are around 12.
