Hi! I need help trying to map out a good, quick trip to Rome and other cities for a family of 4 adults this Christmas. I planned this itinerary and need help to see if it's doable to cover all these places or not. Also, which rail would be best:
Dec 24: arrive Rome, midnight mass
25: Option 1:walk around areas open ( Piazzas, Spanish steps and fountains?)
Option 2: Assisi
26: Colosseum tour: am, Borghessi tour: pm
27: train to Milan and Crema for the day, leave in the evening for Florence for the night
28: Florence for the day, return in the evening to Rome
29: early entrance Vatican Museums, 12:30 Necropolis , leave in the evening for Paris
30: day-trip Paris D'Orsay and Louvre (?) museums
31: train to London am for the day
Jan 1 : leave London for home
Too ambitious? Our flights are: inbound Rome, outbound London, so either way we have to leave for London either Dec 31st from Rome in the evening , connecting into London with an 11-hr layover.
Thank you!
