I am on the official Vatican museum site and want to purchase tickets for Oct. 4th in the afternoon. All sorts of tours and 'extras' tickets are available to book but for "Admission tickets - Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel
Admission Ticket for the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel" all I get is: 'The visit is not currently bookable for the selected date". Am I too early to purchase these tickets (e.g., the general group hasn't been released yet? ) or too late? We have a Scavi tour set up in the morning and don't want another 'tour' but to go have lunch then come in around 2pm and wander til we get to the Sistine. All in all it will be a long day.
Anyone know why I can't get tickets?
