Delta bungled my inbound flight, so I need to stay in Naples on 9/27. I'll be coming via train from Rome and departing for Amalfi coast by private transfer. We will have the afternoon, so maybe a trip to the museum is in order to make the best of it. If you have any hotel recommendations, I'd appreciate it. Thanks so much.

Hotel Piazza Bellini is a good value and located within walking distance to MANN. Note that the front rooms of the hotel face onto the street and the piazza, which can become very loud at night with al fresco drinkers.

I spent over a month in Italy the last time and the worst hotel experience and the most expensive hotel was a last-minute booking in Naples. It was the also the only time I actually worried about my personal safety getting from the train station to the hotel. In retrospect perhaps it was just a busy weekend and that was all that was available.

AL, have you used booking.com at all to check availability? I look a quick look this morning and there was 1 opening remaining at Ciao Bellini, which close to the museum and very highly rated on the booking.com website.
