In the video "Italy Countryside:2000-2009" Rick eats in a converted olive mill. The owner shows him the mill and I think they eat lunch. We are going to Italy in 3 weeks and want to eat there. Thanks for you help!
You may be thinking of Maurizio's olive mill in Civita de Bagnoregio. Click here for Rick's script, and scroll down and see if that's the olive mill you're thinking of.
Thank you so much, that is the place.
Mauizio's may only serve bruschetta and local wine, or at least that was the case last time I was there. Try a sampling of their different bruschetta for a delicious light lunch.
I was there 2 years ago. While the olive oil and bruschetta were great, the wine was the most awful we ever drank. It was not even clear, had a strange texture and taste - don't know why.
But the place is interesting for the the artifacts.
Civita is great - hope you can stay at Franco's B&B - you wil have some of the best food, ever!!!
